MP3 Files Sorter

Hey All

I open this blog highlighting a utility I created a week back - A MP3 File Sorter

How Can It Help You : All of us(music lovers) download mp3 files from internet, which eventually flood either the downloads folder in My Documents(mozilla users) or land up on Desktop or any other place.

But these files remain scattered and unorganized and everytime we try to play one....we need to search in the mess. I assume I have few of the disorganized section of people(like me) reading this. So life for us folks is a MESS when we try to switch on the tunes of our favorite artists (Nirvana,Limp Bizkit, Beatles..my favorites).

So the MP3 File Sorter, basically asks from you the path of the folder where you have all these plethora of scattered MP3 files lying unorganized and arranges them for you w.r.t Artist they belong to.

For some files which it ain't able to sort out..it transfers them into a self created Unsorted Files folder in the same directory which you specified at first. And your life now becomes Simpler.

How To Use : Just download the file from the link MP3 File Sorter
You need to have JRE installed on your system to run this which I'am sure most of us will have. Or you can download it from this link JRE Download

After you got everything set, just double click on the downloaded jar file, a pop up will open where you need to enter the fully qualified path to the directory inside which, you have MP3 files laying in scattered fashion.
Hit the button, and if you gave the correct path , your MESS is sorted ... Happy .

Note: The path which you give should have all the MP3 files at the base directory level i.e. suppose you gave C:/Music as the path, then all your MP3 files should be there inside Music folder only and that too at the base directory level, by base directory level I mean..they should not be inside a folder inside Music folder..they should be at base directory level of Music folder.

So the beta version is all set for you to use and test, and I'm sure it carries loads of bugs and not thought upon scenarios.
And that why we say ---->  More updates to follow.

Adieu....
